This site uses cookies and similar techniques. For analytics and marketing cookies we ask your consent first, through the cookie banner you see on your first visit. Without your choice, nothing in those categories is placed. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link at the foot of every page.
How consent works
On your first visit you choose per category whether to allow cookies. Analytics and marketing are off by default; only necessary cookies are always active, because without them the site cannot remember your choice. Declining is as easy as accepting, and the site works fully if you accept nothing.
We record your choice in a consent register: which categories you chose, when, and under which version of this policy. That record holds a randomly generated identifier, no IP address and no browser details. We keep it for six months.

Analytics, only with your consent
These measure how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Two services: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

When Clarity runs, Microsoft additionally sets cookies on its own domains (clarity.ms and bing.com), including MUID (390 days), MR (7 days), SRM_B (390 days), SM (session) and ANONCHK (under a day). These fall under your analytics consent but live on Microsoft's domains rather than ours; see "Third-party cookies" below.
Marketing, only with your consent
These measure which campaigns bring visitors to the site. One service: the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

If you reach our site by clicking through from a LinkedIn advertisement, LinkedIn may additionally set the cookies li_fat_id and ln_or to measure that click-through. These appear only in that case.
About ci-utm: campaign details present in the web address of the page where you submit a form are always processed at that submission; no storage on your device is needed for that. The ci-utm item, which holds those details during your visit in case you convert on a different page, is placed only with your marketing consent.
Third-party cookies
LinkedIn's cookies, and the Clarity cookies on Microsoft's domains, are set on domains outside our technical reach (linkedin.com, bing.com, clarity.ms). If you withdraw consent we will not set them again, but we cannot remove them from our site: they expire by themselves per the lifetimes above, or you can remove them through your browser's cookie settings.
What happens when you withdraw consent
Through "Cookie preferences" in the footer you can adjust or withdraw your choice at any time. The analytics and marketing scripts then stop, and the cookies on our own domain are removed. For cookies on third-party domains, the previous section applies.
Statistics without cookies
Alongside the above we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. That service works without cookies and reads nothing from your device; it counts visits at an aggregate level. It therefore sits outside the cookie banner.
